i'm sure i've said this before, but i'm so glad that i have lucked out with my class of 2014 group at uni. the grades above have all seemed so cliquey and catty - stereotypical fashun people. while my group has sort of formed into groups, everyone still speaks and socialises together for the most part.
presentation days at the end of semesters' assessments have been my most anticipated day of each semester. its so exciting to see everyone's work (even though we have often seen it all leading up to the official unveiling and critique), and its such a supportive atmosphere. its also a great opportunity to have your brain temporarily re-wired by seeing how other people have interpreted the same brief as you - this provides infinite inspiration for me!
..oh and we don't have to wear the obligatory OH&S closed in shoes, which is a huge perk !
below are images from (i think everyone?) everyone's swimwear (well, stretchwear basically - some instead did sleepwear or activewear) / sun safe / india inspired / modest looks from last semester - including mine which i've put at the top.
i always love seeing others' work, and can't seem to find many student designers' blogs, so i enjoy posting my class mates' designs up here in case anyone else craves this sort of info in the same way that i do. enjoy !
oh, and the group was so small (which i LOVED - so much more workspace, and much more one on one time with the design staff - becuase half of us were overseas on exchange programs.
